Driving Change in 2026

As we continue through 2026, Ryde remains committed to transforming how Jersey moves.

Our mission has always been simple: provide clean, convenient, 100% electric mobility that reduces Jersey’s carbon footprint. This year, our impact is clearer than ever.

Transport is the single biggest contributor to Jersey’s carbon emissions, accounting for 45% of all on‑island emissions. By replacing petrol and diesel journeys with fully electric transport, Ryde directly helps tackle the island’s most significant environmental challenge. Jersey is also legally committed to an ambitious climate strategy: 68% emissions reduction by 2030, 78% by 2035, and net‑zero by 2050, under the extension of the Paris Agreement. Every electric trip we deliver supports progress toward those binding targets.

So far this year, Ryde has completed thousands of zero‑emission journeys across the island. We have been building more partnerships with Jersey businesses to help them move staff, customers, or visitors using zero‑emission transport, optimising our smart‑routing technology to reduce energy use per trip, and helping local businesses align with Jersey’s sustainability requirements.

Jersey has already reduced its emissions by 47.5% between 1990 and 2023, largely thanks to switching electricity supply to low‑carbon nuclear and hydro power from France. That means every electric journey with Ryde isn’t just tailpipe‑zero, it’s powered by one of the cleanest electricity mixes in Europe.

We couldn’t do this alone. We’re proud to collaborate with partners across Jersey supporting sustainable travel and clean energy. Government of Jersey Jersey Electricity Jersey Chamber of Commerce Visit Jersey Reto Finance and our incredible local business partners.
