How Ryde Is Helping Jersey Deliver on Its Climate Commitments

Jersey has made its intentions clear: the island is committed to meaningful climate action.
The States Assembly’s unanimous approval of the Carbon Neutral Roadmap set an ambitious direction for reducing emissions across transport, energy, buildings, and business. At Ryde, we’re proud that our fully electric mobility solutions play a direct and practical role in supporting these goals.
The roadmap outlines a bold pathway:
- Carbon neutral by 2050
- 68% emissions reduction by 2030
- 78% by 2035
Achieving this requires redesigning how we travel, how businesses operate, and how energy is used across the island. Ryde accelerates this transition by offering a scalable, zero‑emission transport alternative that residents and businesses can adopt today.
Transport remains Jersey’s largest source of emissions, accounting for 45% of the island’s total. Decarbonising mobility isn’t optional — it’s essential. Ryde’s 100% electric fleet reduces congestion, cuts pollution, and supports Jersey’s sustainability targets in real time with every ride booked.
Towards the end of Q1 2026, Jersey’s independent Climate Council will publish its first progress assessment, evaluating how effectively each sector is moving toward net zero. We’re committed to being part of the solution — not in the future, but right now — by providing accessible, operational low‑carbon mobility for the island.
Sustainable transport isn’t just a long‑term ambition. With Ryde, it’s already here.
