Reflecting on 2025: A Landmark Year for Ryde
As we reflect on 2025, we’re incredibly proud of what has been a defining year for Ryde. Over the past 12 months, we strengthened our position as a trusted, sustainable transport provider in Jersey, scaled our operations, and continued to support both the local economy and the island’s transition to greener travel.
Throughout the year, Ryde completed over 31,000 journeys, connecting people across the island while maintaining our commitment to reliability, fairness, and customer experience. This growth was driven by strong demand from both individual passengers and businesses, underpinned by the dedication of our drivers, support team, and partners.
What Ryde Achieved in 2025
Service Expansion with Ryde XXL
In response to growing demand for group travel and enhanced comfort, we successfully launched Ryde XXL, introducing two seven-seater vehicles to our fleet. This addition allowed us to better serve families, corporate groups, and customers requiring extra space, broadening the scope of journeys we could support.
Meaningful Environmental Impact
Sustainability remained at the heart of everything we did. In 2025 alone, Ryde helped avoid approximately 25,710 kg of CO₂e, roughly equivalent to the annual carbon absorption of 1,028 trees. These savings reinforced the role electric transport can play in reducing Jersey’s transport emissions while still delivering a high-quality service.
Growing and Supporting Local Drivers
We onboarded and retained 14 new drivers to Ryde during the year, while also supporting additional individuals into the wider taxi industry in Jersey. By creating accessible entry points into the sector and providing consistent work opportunities, we continued to contribute positively to local employment and skills development.
Strong Corporate Partnerships
Ryde secured regular partnerships with over 25 corporate clients, ranging from small local businesses to larger organisations. These collaborations strengthened our presence across the island and highlighted the increasing demand for dependable, sustainable transport solutions within Jersey’s business community.
Industry Recognition
A major highlight of the year was winning the Judges’ Choice Award at the Digital Jersey Tech Awards 2025. This recognition reflected not only the technology behind Ryde, but also the impact our platform has had on transport, sustainability, and innovation on the island.
A Business Built on Trust and Support
None of these achievements would have been possible without the continued support of our drivers, customers, corporate partners, and the wider Jersey community. We’re also grateful to organisations such as Digital Jersey and our infrastructure partners, whose ongoing support helped us scale responsibly while staying true to our values.
Looking Ahead
As we entered the new year, we were already looking ahead to the next stage of our fleet expansion, with new vehicles set to join Ryde very soon. These additions will allow us to continue improving capacity, comfort, and choice for our customers, so we encourage everyone to keep an eye out for an update soon.
